Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax compliance, and general ledger management. This role requires excellent analytical skills, accuracy, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and assist with payroll processing and payroll tax reporting, as needed.
  • Support the preparation of tax returns and work closely with external tax professionals.
  • Coordinate year-end closing activities and assist with audits.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.
  • Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience .
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems .
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
