Overview:

The purpose of this position is to provide an opportunity to learn about Kentucky Eagle’s portfolio, customer’s, the sales and delivery processes to prepare for a transition to a sales role. The ideal candidate for this position must reside in or around the Louisville area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn about our suppliers and their brands.
• Learn how to utilize data analytics to be a resource for our customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Learn the sales cycle including using the on-line portal and submitting orders.
• Travel in local market with Sales Representatives and Sales Management.
• Drive to various accounts on route on a regular basis.
• Learn how to competitively present and position our brands in the market.
• Assist with merchandising and point of sale placement.
• Provide sales support for open territories through account visits.
• Identify selling opportunities during account visits.
• Record and monitor inventory at accounts.
• Review sales performance with management compared to sales targets.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• College degree preferred.
• Desire to start a career in Sales.
• 1+ years of B2B customer service experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License in good standing with a driving record acceptable to Kentucky Eagle’s insurance carrier.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, bend, twist and repetitively lift 35lbs.
