Job Description

IU Health is seeking an  Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our growing orthopedic team. The Orthopedic Spine surgeon manages comprehensive spine practice focusing on elective, non- emergent pathology. The surgeon utilizes an ambulatory infrastructure for same- day, minimally invasive surgeries, while migrating complex, multi-level reconstructions for the hospital for overnight inpatient recovery. The position offers an optimize quality of life with zero trauma call obligations Position Details:
  • Outpatient clinical management 
  • Targeted Diagnosis: Evaluate elective cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders using comprehensive physical and neurological exams
  • Surgical Stratification: Select and route patients into the appropriate surgical pipeline based on medical comorbidity and surgical complexity. 
  • Conservative Coordination 
  • Schedule:
    • Full Time, Monday-Friday
  • Main Work Locations: IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital (the region's largest referral center) and Ball's Outpatient Surgery Center in Muncie, Indiana

  • Current residents, fellows, and practicing candidates encouraged to apply
