Water Truck Driver

Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. The Water Truck Driver operates the Water Truck, ensuring the transportation and delivery of water to multiple different construction sites or designated areas in an efficient manner, all while driving safely.

Responsibilities:

• Transport water to construction sites and other designated areas using the Water Truck.
• Responsible for truck inspections and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Properly prepare equipment and worksite daily.
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations and demonstrate clear driving judgement.
• Effectively communicate with Supervisors and Foremen to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
• Complete and verify all necessary paperwork for accuracy.
• Use appropriate PPE.
• Work in an outdoor setting which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Desired Qualifications :

• Must possess a clean Class ‘B’ CDL license with Tanker Endorsement for 2+ years
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 pounds
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Out-of-town travel and/overtime possible
• Must be physically able to enter confined spaces such as manholes and must be able to successfully complete/pass confined space entry training
• High school diploma/GED preferred
