CNN is looking for a creative and driven Video Producer to join our team. In this key role, you’ll help shape the visual identity of our show, working closely with a small, fast-moving production team. Your work will directly influence the look and feel of our live segments, pre-produced packages, and promotional teases—across multiple hours of both live and taped content. This role requires someone with sharp editorial sensibilities and the ability to manage a heavy editing load with precision and speed.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Curate powerful video and audio elements to enhance live and recorded segments
• Assist with research, media organization, scripting, and video editing
• Collaborate with editors to produce polished, visually engaging content
• Support the production of multiple hours of programming, both live and pre-taped
• Take on a high volume of editing tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Manage video playback during live shows and update elements for later airings
• Quickly source, ingest, and organize video content during breaking news
• Work efficiently in a control room setting under tight deadlines
• Contribute ideas for guest segments, story angles, and visual storytelling
• Adapt to a flexible schedule that may include weekends or extended hours during major news events

Your Qualifications & Experience…

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field preferred—or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of production experience in a newsroom or broadcast environment
• Strong editorial judgment with a keen eye for impactful storytelling
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple hours of live and taped content
• Comfortable handling a demanding editing workload with tight turnarounds
• Excellent writing, communication, research, and time management skills
• Solid understanding of show production workflows
• Ability to write for television and contribute creatively to scripts and segments
• Calm, quick-thinking demeanor when news breaks

How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
