Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.
The Senior Data Engineer serves as a technical leader within the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness and plays a central role in advancing Albany State University's enterprise data infrastructure and institutional analytics capabilities. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data architecture that supports institutional reporting, analytics, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making across the university.
The Senior Data Engineer leads the development of modern data pipelines, enterprise data models, and cloud-based analytics platforms that integrate data from multiple institutional systems into a centralized data environment. This role supports the university's data modernization strategy by enabling reliable data access, advanced analytics, and enterprise reporting used by university leadership, academic units, and administrative departments.
Working collaboratively with Institutional Research staff, Information Technology Services, academic and administrative departments, and external partners, the Senior Data Engineer helps establish sustainable data engineering practices that ensure institutional data is accurate, secure, accessible, and aligned with university information governance standards.
This limited term position is funded through Title III sponsored funds. Continuation of employment is based upon availability of funds.
