The starting pay range for this position per hour is $27.00 - $29.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $27.00 - $45.90

  • P lanning HR department daily/weekly workload to support HR business priorities

  • R ead ing financial reporting and interpret ing data

  • Following f ederal s tate and local employment laws

  • R ecruiting and event organization

  • Using Microsoft Office Suite computer and workforce management programs

  • E ffectively us ing scheduling software

  • L eading a team of hourly H uman R esource E xperts including skills in interviewing developing coaching evaluating and retaining talent

As a Human Resources Team Leader no two days are ever the same but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.

  • Ensures every team member understands is trained and consistently delivers on Targets guest experience commitments and consistent operations.

  • Actively observes and provides feedback holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.

  • Reviews area guest financial and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities takes action to improve and aligns team on the right behaviors and execution celebrates wins drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.

  • Support leaders in creating and prioritizing an environment of inclusivity where teams value diverse voices and approaches are authentic and respectful and create equitable experiences .

  • Foster a culture where teams love to work and guests love to shop; recognize effective guest acknowledgement and connection and reward outstanding performance .

  • Support the leadership team in timely completion of training execution .

  • Lead orientation for new team members ) to enable them to provide a serv i ce and shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest .

  • With guidance from your direct leader h elp the leadership team develop their teams based on career aspirations individual skills and experiences and provide growth opportunities to retain talent .

  • With guidance from your direct leader support the development of leaders and help your peers promote a guest- centered environment.

  • With guidance from your direct leader help the store publish schedules that are compliant meet the needs of the business and align with team member availability and desired hours .

  • Be approachable and available for the team lead a culture where team members feel heard and issues are quickly resolved and collaborate with appro priate leaders to take action as needed .

  • With guidance from your direct leader execute the store staffing strategy and implement recruiting efforts to help store leaders find hire and onboard candidates with the right skills and experiences for their team .

  • Lead a team of HR Experts who serve the total store team by solving problems removing roadblocks and engaging each team member in a way that connects them to Targets purpose .

  • Deliver on all HR processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption .

  • Build relationships that are important to the local community and engage the store team on these initiatives .

  • With guidance from your direct leader e stablish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations .

  • Understand financial objectives to maximize profitability and plan work to achieve area-specific and store goals .

  • D emonstrate a culture of ethical conduct safety and compliance ; l ead and hold the team accountable to work in the same way .

  • Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors identifying and correcting hazards holding team accountable to following safety expectations assisting with incident response and reporting/investigating injuries timely and accurately.

  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches being authentic and respectful and creating equitable experiences.

  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding learning and career growth; help close skill gaps through development coaching and team interactions .

  • Model the execution of physical security processes in order to enhance the instore security culture.

  • Sup port merchandise protection strategies across the total store; including ordering storage and application as directed by best practices .

  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs

  • If applicable a s a key carrier follow all safe and secure training and processes.

  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs including claims management and return-to-work program.

  • All other duties based on business needs .

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Human Resources Team Leader . But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

  • Previous experience using automated scheduling time keeping and workforce management applications preferred but not

  • Strong cognitive skills including problem analysis decision making financial and quantitative analysis

  • Lead and hold others accountable

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and other team members

  • Effective communication skills

  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.

  • F requently lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 poundswithout additional assistance from others

  • Climb up and down ladders as needed.

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights weekends overnights and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
