Are you passionate about plants and enjoy spending time outdoors? The Converse Home, a warm and welcoming assisted living community, is looking for a part-time Gardener to help maintain and care for our beautiful flower and vegetable gardens.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable gardener to assist with weeding, watering, pruning, and general upkeep of our outdoor garden spaces. This is a hands-on role that makes a real difference in the daily life of our residents, providing them with a lovely and serene environment to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weed and maintain flower beds and garden areas.
• Prune, deadhead, and care for seasonal plants.
• Assist with watering and plant health maintenance.
• Keep pathways and garden areas tidy and safe.
• Engage positively with residents who enjoy spending time in the gardens.

Qualifications:

• Some experience or knowledge of plants, flowers, and basic gardening practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Friendly and respectful demeanor toward residents and staff.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Position Details:

• Part-time 20 hours a week, 
• Seasonal position (spring through fall, with potential to return each season).

The Converse Home is a private nonprofit senior community. Our assisted living and memory care community is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in the southern end of Burlington. We have beautifully landscaped grounds that include large flower and vegetable gardens, a gazebo and many areas for our residents to enjoy being outside.
