Environmental Consultant

ARC provides environmental permitting and compliance assistance for public and private industry across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. We work closely with our clients so they can best understand and navigate the ever-changing permit conditions to maintain a safe, compliant operating environment. We offer our clients a comprehensive round of services throughout planning, modeling, permitting, compliance assistance, and auditing. With more than 30 years’ experience working within the regulation environment, we are the subject matter experts and often represent clients in all levels of negotiations with local, state, and federal agencies.

As an ARC team member, you will get the major benefit of working with several successful Fortune 500 companies while being a key part of a growing, nimble team. With projects varying from regulatory analysis, permit development and review, training, on- and off-site audits, due diligence, and records review, every day and every client offers a unique challenge.

As a Consultant you will

- Support other staff with computer modeling activities in accordance with project requirements and/or public guidelines

- Lead air emissions calculations, hazardous material SDS sheet reviews, and site condition reviews for construction and operation permitting

- Maintain a strong knowledge base of the current, new, and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients

- Ensure completeness of permit applications and annual reporting documents

Qualified candidates are required to have

- 0-3 years experience working in the environmental permitting and compliance industry

- B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, and/or Atmospheric/Environmental Science from a four-year college or university

- Strong oral and written communication skills to simplify complex regulations into concise, easy to interpret solutions for clients

- Understanding of the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act

This full-time position is located in Lincoln, NE and requires occasional travel to project sites with a base salary compensation of $65-85k, depending on experience.
