The Dispensary Associate plays a key frontline role in this mission by delivering exceptional patient service, maintaining strict compliance standards, and supporting daily dispensary operations.

In this role, the associate serves as the first point of contact for patients, representing the company with professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow regulatory protocols, and comfort working with POS systems and digital inventory tools. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of handling both customer service and operational responsibilities in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Service & Communication:

  • Greet patients warmly and provide personalized guidance and support
  • Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and solution-focused manner
  • Maintain strong patient relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Educate patients on the Compassionate Use Program and onboarding process
  • Serve as the first point of contact via phone, email, and in-person interactions

Order Processing & Fulfillment:

  • Process online and phone orders accurately and efficiently
  • Verify prescriptions and ensure compliance before dispensing products
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of patient orders
  • Support inventory tracking and order management systems

Inventory & Compliance Management:

  • Follow all state, local, HIPAA, and company regulations related to cannabis dispensing
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits
  • Comply with security protocols, access procedures, and dispensary policies
  • Support delivery procedures and vendor receiving processes
  • Minimize inventory loss through strict adherence to control systems

Operational Support & Teamwork:

  • Use POS systems and digital platforms to manage patient profiles and transactions
  • Contribute to improving workflow efficiency and operational processes
  • Support team members and assist in training when required
  • Help resolve operational issues such as system errors, supply delays, or compliance challenges
  • Participate in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment

Physical & Workplace Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs when required
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
  • Work effectively in fast-paced and regulated environments
