The consultant will evaluate the current dashboard layout, identify usability improvements, and develop a modern, business-aligned dashboard structure that enhances discoverability, usability, and self-service adoption.The ideal candidate will possess strong UX design expertise, experience designing enterprise portals or SaaS-based user experiences, and the ability to translate stakeholder requirements into intuitive dashboard designs. The role requires close collaboration with IAM Engineers, Okta Administrators, business stakeholders, and IT leadership to deliver an optimized dashboard experience.
Primary (Must have skills)* - To be Screened by TA Team: 3+ years of UX/UI Design experience 3+ years of experience designing enterprise portals, SaaS applications, or employee-facing digital platforms 3+ years of proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent design tools

A well-designed Okta dashboard enables users to quickly access the applications and services relevant to their role while supporting least-privilege access principles.The successful candidate will help increase user adoption, reduce support requests, improve application discoverability, and establish a scalable dashboard design framework aligned with business functions and governance standards.
What You'll Do/ Job Description of Role* (RNR) - To be Evaluated by Technical Panel (Define it to give more clarity): Assess the existing Okta End-User Dashboard structure, tile organization, and user experience, Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability assessments to gather workforce feedback, Analyze dashboard usage patterns and identify opportunities for usability improvements Design wireframes and prototype concepts for a redesigned dashboard experience Develop section-based dashboard layouts organized by business functions such as IT, HR, Finance, Clinical Systems, and R&D Define dashboard information hierarchy, navigation structure, and content organization standards Establish tile naming conventions, icon standards, categorization guidelines, and design consistency principles Create presentation materials and facilitate design review sessions with IAM leadership and IT stakeholders, Incorporate stakeholder feedback and refine dashboard design recommendations, Collaborate with IAM Engineers and Okta Administrators to support implementation of approved designs Participate in change management and deployment planning activities Document design standards, recommendations, and future-state dashboard governance guidelines
Soft skills/other skills - To be Evaluated by Hiring Manager (To define how this will be evaluated): Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops, gather requirements, influence decision-making, and communicate design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months) - Expected Outcome: Comprehensive assessment of current Okta Dashboard completed, Validated user feedback and usability insights documented, Future-state dashboard design approved by IAM leadership and stakeholders. Business-function-based dashboard structure successfully implemented. Standardized tile naming conventions and icon guidelines established. Improved application discoverability and user experience across workforce populations. Enhanced self-service adoption and reduced end-user navigation challenges. Documented UX standards available for future dashboard enhancements and governance.
Secondary Skills (Good to have): Experience conducting user research, surveys, and usability assessments Strong understanding of information architecture and dashboard design principles Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills
