Job Description

Looking to break into the world of real estate development while making a real difference? SoLa Impact is searching for a driven and detail-oriented Development Intern to join our team this summer! This isn’t your average internship—this is your chance to gain hands-on experience in one of the most exciting and high-impact real estate development firms in Los Angeles.

Duration:

  • Cohort 1 - Monday, May 18th - Thursday, August 13th
  • Cohort 2 - Monday, June 22nd - Thursday, September 17th

Location: The Beehive, 961 E. 61st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90001
Compensation: $20-$24 per hour
Schedule: 9:00AM-5:00PM, M-F

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing (Your Blueprint for Success)

  • 💼 Assist the Development team in managing new and ongoing real estate projects
  • 📄 Support project planning, research, and data analysis to drive development decisions
  • 📈 Help track budgets, timelines, and critical project milestones
  • 🔍 Conduct market research on affordable housing trends, zoning laws, and investment opportunities
  • 🏠 Participate in site visits and construction progress check-ins
  • 📞 Communicate with architects, contractors, and city officials to facilitate project development
  • 🏛️ Assist in preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders and investors
  • 🚀 Collaborate with internal teams to keep development projects on track and moving forward

Requirements

🎓 What We’re Looking For (The Ideal Intern)

  • Current seniors, enrolled in a Real Estate, Urban Planning, Business, or related degree program
  • 💻 Proficient in Microsoft Office (bonus points for Excel and project management tools!)
  • 📚 Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • 🎮 A team player with a proactive approach and a great attitude
  • 👩‍💻 Passion for real estate development, urban planning, and affordable housing
  • 🏡 Interest in the entire development lifecycle from acquisition to construction
